Responsible Adoption

Adopt, don’t shop… but what does a responsible adoption really mean? Every animal in our shelter has a story to tell. Often, these stories begin with abandonment, neglect, or a lack of opportunity. Responsible adoption means looking beyond the past and providing a safe, stable future that meets the specific needs of the adopted animal.

Adoption is not a spur-of-the-moment decision, but a long-term commitment. It requires time, patience, responsibility and affection. It involves visits to the vet, training, proper nutrition, and, above all, constant presence.

We ensure that every animal is medically evaluated, dewormed, vaccinated and spayed. Our partners help you choose the companion that fits your lifestyle and they stay by your side even after the adoption, so that the transition is a success.

If you’re ready to give a dog or cat a second chance, we’re here to guide you.

Are you ready?

By adopting, you save two animals. You make room at the shelter for another animal in need, and for the animal you adopt, you become their whole world. What you need to know before taking the first step:
01. The adjustment period can last for months or even up to a year.
  • At first, you may face many challenges with an adopted animal: anxiety, lack of confidence, fear of people or other animals. Patience and consistency are essential.
  • Some medical conditions or behavioral issues may develop or become apparent over time, even if everything seems fine at first.
  • A dog needs you every day, no matter what changes happen in your life (vacations, moves, work schedules, or other responsibilities).
  • Walks, training, socialization, and constant affection are just as important as food and shelter.
